What is the salary in Public Sector?

From January 2012, Public sector workers in salary grades below LKR 22,935/month will get a 15 % allowance on the basic monthly salary.  

Those in salary grades above LKR 22,935/ month, will get a 10% allowance calculated against their salaries from January and the balance 5% allowance from July. Know more about Public Sector wages

How is Holiday Pay Calculated?

Holiday pay - Pay for work on weekends (Sundays) and public holidays is paid for 1 1/2 times the daily rate or double the rate of remuneration.
